New to Fasting Mct Oil Makes It Easier

If you just started soaking your toes in intermittent fasting water, you probably already know: fasting can be difficult. Especially at the starting, when your body adjusts to your time-limited meal window; you might experience those miserable feelings of hunger as your body gets used to the new schedule.

You should naturally listen to your body and observe its signals—make sure that you have not chosen a Plan that is too intense for you right now. How MCT oil can facilitate fasting.

To understand how MCT oil facilitates fasting, you must first learn the science behind this healthy fat: MCT oil means medium-chain triglyceride oil and is usually obtained from coconut oil, seed oil and milk fats-such as herb butter or Ghee.

As the name suggests, MCT oil is a medium-chain saturated fat, as opposed to a long-chain saturated fat. “They are used and metabolized differently in the body,” Cole adds. “This particular type of saturated fat behaves differently.”

According to Cole, MCTs are easily absorbed by the body, which means that “it is a good tool for people who work quickly on satiety.”In fact, research shows that MCTs help you feel full for longer by balancing your appetite control hormones.

“Your metabolism loves it,” Cole adds. In particular, MCTs can help your body’s metabolism become a fat burner instead of sounding the alarm once the glucose from the food is completely burned. Research has shown that lauric acid in particular—an MCT in coconut oil-can cause longer-lasting ketosis (or if your metabolism burns fat instead of glucose as fuel), and another study shows that you can even increase your metabolic rate.

Translation: during a fast, you want your body to burn fat for fuel so that it stays longer without consuming extra calories. However, this training phase takes time, especially if you are brand new to the fasting game. MCT oil can help the body a bit during this process:” I almost see it as a kind of gateway to fat adjustment,” says Cole, and it can help you avoid those nagging hunger strike.

Thus, you incorporate MCT oil into your fast.

One of the most popular ways to consume MCT oil is to mix it in a Cup of black coffee (which, according to experts, has so few calories that it should not detract from the benefits of fasting). Feel free to mix coconut oil, grass-fed butter, or Ghee into your Java (or buy a bottle of pure MCT oil, often tasteless). You can also pour it into your tea-anything you want to drink in the morning.

Or, says Cole, ” you can just have it from the spoon.”Every time you peck, a spoonful of coconut oil or Ghee can help you stay full until your meal window opens.
